The room is a bit small and the only thing I didn't like was that we were seated at a table opposite the WC door, from where you could see who was sitting down, and where many people didn't close the door when leaving. But the food is, in fact, very good. ”

“ I visited this establishment during a brief trip to Avis, and I can say that I will certainly return when I'm back there! A modest and simple place, but clean, and the food, at least what we ate, was extraordinary! We started with the traditional couvert (Alentejo bread, olives, and butter), followed by a bowl of spinach soup and then a stewed veal and cod with cream, all very tasty! For dessert, we ordered a (homemade) chocolate mousse and a semi-frozen "perna de pau" (a type of sweet bread), also very delicious. To finish, two coffees. We paid around €23 for the meal, and I can say that it was much better than the dinner the previous day, where I paid more than double at a much more traditional and less modest place, and we didn't eat as well! In short, for those looking to eat well and who don't mind the extravagance, I can only say, visit! Judging by what we ate, you won't regret it! Congratulations to the staff who welcomed us, as they were also very friendly! ”

“ We came here for lunch on Easter Sunday, so it might affect the food options. I had a bit of lamb, and bf had pork with fries and fried egg. My lamb was medium low, the meat was ok but the potatoes were not good and there was way too much “water” for a roast. His meat was nice but the French fries could be better if had less grease, the oil was not fresh. But it was a good enough price quality ratio. They didn’t had beer without alcohol. The soup was nice, we didn’t had dessert. We paid 21.4€ Oh bread and olives perfect as it usually is in Alentejo. Friendly waiter ”
